What do I need?

All you need is a digital camera, and to be a member of Ava Living.com.

*A tripod is recommended for more precise shots, but a steady hand will work just as well.

What's the process?

Usually, it is best to position yourself in a corner with the windows on your side.
For a 360° tour, you will need to stand in the middle of the room.
Hold the camera to take the photos as tall and narrow (portrait view). This will enable you to capture more area of the room.
Do not change your camera view between portrait and landscape in one panorama. This will result in an unsatisfactory AvaVision.
If your camera has a panorama setting, then use it. This will help you line up your shots.
Use as wide an angle as possible on the camera lens. This will capture more of the area with each shot and minimize errors when moving the camera.
Do not change your camera lens and/or zoom settings in one panorama. This will result in distortion of your AvaVision.
Shoot your room photos in sequence.
Capture sufficient overlap between photos – take your first photo, rotate, make sure you have at least 20% - 30% overlap of the previous photo as illustrated below, then take the next photo. Continue taking photos with 20% - 30% overlap with adjacent photos until complete.

When you reposition the camera for each shot, try to pivot your body around the camera, avoid standing in the same spot and pivoting the camera around you.
