 | These are the colors I have used when the kitchen and the whole house interiors were repainted | | | | I found this picture as an idea for a house to build in the future. I liked the hand drawing feelin | | |
About This Project:
| Objective: | The house where this kitchen is located was a new built home. The goal was to make an Italian style home with many architectural features and to reflect the Italian style designs in all interior spaces. | | Challenges: | I was hired at the very beginning of the building phase. It was easy to work from architectural plans drawn by my client's trusted architect and also it was very easy to work with them. Client was a young, dynamic and very knowledgeable couple with two small children and one on the way.
The kitchen was made in cherry wood, stained natural, with fossil stone counter. Imbedded in the stone are real fossil remaining. A real beauty!
The island was painted black as a contrast. The counter top was made of Bianco Carrara Marble.
Backsplash was made in Bianco Carrara Marble and inserts of lime stones, with a focal point at the cooking area made of a larger and classic medallion design in limestone. | | Results: | I achieved absolutely what they wanted, in the budget they had planned.
A couple of years later, the interior wall colors changed completely. The life of this house began with almost an all white color scheme by choice of my clients, but they soon got tired of looking at "all white home" and hired me again to change the colors of all rooms in a warm tone palette.
Stay tuned to see the new colors, as soon as I photograph them again. |
